Setting up a mini WiFi camera, using the PC hub, fixing common problems and activating Pro.
Set up a camera
CamSave works with the small cube cameras that make a Wi-Fi hotspot named BK followed by numbers (the ones normally set up with the iWFCam app).
- Power it. Plug the camera into USB power. Keep it plugged in: on battery it sleeps to save power and drops off the network.
- Reset it if it was used before. Hold the MODE button for about 6 seconds until it restarts. This sets the password back to the default 8888 and opens its BK hotspot. Do this too if you or iWFCam changed the password.
- Pair it. In CamSave, add a camera and point the phone at the QR code on the camera's sticker. CamSave reads the camera ID and asks your phone to join its BK… hotspot: tap Connect on the phone's prompt. No sticker? Join the BK Wi-Fi network in your phone's Wi-Fi settings, then come back to CamSave.
- Watch. The camera appears live. You can watch it straight on its hotspot, take photos and record.
Put the camera on your home Wi-Fi
On its own hotspot, only one phone can reach the camera, and that phone loses its internet. On your home Wi-Fi, your phone and PC both reach it.
- While connected to the camera, use the camera's Wi-Fi setup to pick your network and type its password. (You can also do this once with the app that came with the camera; CamSave works with the camera either way.)
- Use a 2.4 GHz network. These cameras can't see 5 GHz. If your router uses one name for both bands, it usually still works; if not, turn on a separate 2.4 GHz network or guest network without "client isolation".
- The camera restarts and joins your Wi-Fi. Its BK hotspot disappears. Reconnect your phone to your home Wi-Fi and the camera shows up in CamSave.
- To start over (new router, wrong password), hold MODE for 6 seconds and pair again.
The PC hub (Windows, Mac coming)
A phone can only be on one camera's hotspot at a time. CamSave for Windows stays on your home network and keeps every camera connected.
- Install and open CamSave on the PC. It finds cameras on your Wi-Fi by itself and keeps looking every few seconds.
- The first time, Windows may ask to allow it on your network. Allow it for Private networks, so your phone can reach it.
- Closing the window keeps it running in the tray, still recording. Quit it from the tray icon. Settings → Start with Windows opens it when you sign in.
- Recordings go to Videos\CamSave, in a folder per camera and day. Change the folder in Settings.
- With Pro, open the hub's cameras on your phone: CamSave on the phone finds the hub on the same Wi-Fi, or open http://<your-pc-ip>:8780/ in any browser at home.
Recording modes
- Manual (free): press record, press stop.
- Motion (Pro): records when something moves. A MOTION badge shows on the camera while it is triggered.
- 24/7 (Pro): records all the time in rolling files of a few minutes.
- Auto-delete (Pro): choose how many days to keep, and older recordings are removed for you.
- Clear picture and auto-brightness (Pro): cleaner, steadier video from these soft 640×480 cameras.
Troubleshooting
- Wrong password or "access denied": the password was changed earlier. Hold MODE for 6 seconds to reset to 8888, then pair again.
- No BK hotspot appears: the camera may already be on a Wi-Fi network, or asleep. Plug it into USB power, wait 30 seconds, and reset it with MODE if needed.
- Phone keeps leaving the BK hotspot: the hotspot has no internet, so Android may switch back to your Wi-Fi. Tap Connect when CamSave asks to join the camera, and choose to stay connected if Android asks.
- Camera won't join home Wi-Fi: use 2.4 GHz, check the Wi-Fi password, keep the camera close to the router, and avoid networks with a sign-in page (hotels, some guest networks).
- PC hub doesn't find the camera: PC and camera must be on the same network (not a guest network that isolates devices). Allow CamSave in Windows Firewall for Private networks.
- Camera goes offline: it is probably on battery. Keep it on USB power. CamSave reconnects as soon as it is back.
- Picture is soft: these cameras send 640×480 video. Clean the lens, add light, and try Clear picture (Pro).

Activate CamSave Pro
- Google Play app: buy Pro inside the app (Settings → CamSave Pro). It unlocks right away.
- Website purchase ($14.99 once, 3 devices): you get a license key like CSP-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, on screen and by email.
- On each device, open Settings → CamSave Pro, paste the key and press Activate. The device needs internet once; after that Pro works offline.
- Device can't reach the internet? Note the device ID shown in Settings → CamSave Pro (it looks like XXXX-XXXX). On another device, open panaweb.top/camsave/activate.php, enter the key and the device ID, and paste the activation code you get into that device.
- "All 3 devices are in use": free one on Your devices, then activate again.
Your devices and lost keys
Enter the license key from your receipt email (it starts with CSP-) and the email you paid with, to see your devices or move the license to a new one.
